Good proofing is vital
We think the best way to proof something at this stage is to print it out and show it to several different people.
Everyone sees the same thing in a slightly different way so seeking a varied range of opinion makes sense. Try getting the
views of people who are not involved with the project as well as those who are.
It is generally best if possible to avoid being the only person proofing your own work. This is because things you do not
see as errors when creating your artwork are likely to be missed by you when proofing.
Colour Judgements
Unless you have a system that is calibrated to an offset printing press you can only make the vaguest of colour judgements.
Unfortunately without such calibration your monitor or office printer can be very misleading so there is no point in trying to
control colour to a really fine degree. Obviously your greens will print green and your reds will print red but trying to
judge very accurately what shade of green or red will be produced is not realistic.
You can calibrate your system if you wish - we provide the tools you need to do this for free. However it is quite an involved
process and unless colour matching is very important in this case or you intend doing alot of this type of work you may find it
not be worth the effort required.
