What format do you intend to use to send your finished artwork?
Customers are increasingly supplying their artwork as PDF files. We are quite happy for you to do this and provide
a help page
here..
I don't intend to create PDFs - I simply want to send my program files
No problem.
The main thing to watch here is that you include all the correct linked files and all the fonts you used.
If, as we suggested in Step 1, you have a folder containing all the files and graphics for your job all you have to
do is create another folder within it to hold your fonts. Copy all the fonts you used here and then your main job
folder should now hold
everything needed to reproduce your job.
Copying Fonts..
Your job folder can now be treated as a self contained whole and sending it to us is easy.
Many programs have a "Collect for Output/Service Bureau" option that will locate all the files used wherever they are on your system
and collect them together into a single folder.
Test your job before sending it to us
If you are sending a PDF open it and check it before you send it. Don't trust that it has been created correctly. Look for
text rescrolling and missing items.
If you are sending your native program files check that you have all the linked files and fonts in your master job folder.
Beware of remote links and duplicate link filenames. Remember that we will not have the same directory
structure on our system as you have on yours and we can only work from the master job folder you send us.
Anything not in this folder will not be available to us.
Also, if you have 2 different linked graphics in your artwork with the same filename but stored in
a different folder on your computer then this will work fine on your system. However, when you copy both files to
your master job folder one will overwrite the other. Open your artwork for a final check AFTER you have collected all your files together.
